TV drama is enough for Norah

The Newstalk presenter says that the high point of her social life is choosing which top US dramas to feast on with the main man in her life, son Dara (12).

And when she does go out, Norah (below), who lost her husband Richard Hannaford in 2011, says that her social life is now more pared back since his death.

"I definitely don't socialise during the week as much anymore," Norah told the Diary.

"It is usually just Dara and I sitting on the couch and fighting over whether to watch Dexter or Breaking Bad. But I love that."

When she does go out, the busy mum says that a quiet dinner with the girls is her preference.

"When Richard was alive we used to entertain a lot more and have people over for lunch," she said.

"I don't do that as much anymore, but I might have the girls over for dinner or we would go out for lunch and catch up."
