MODEL Tiffany Stanley has revealed how she was pestered for months by an online female stalker.
Tiffany (24), who took up the role as Desperate Housewives' Nicollette Sheridan's body double for a film shoot, said that she had to increase her security settings online after months of harassment.
"A lot of guys have been adding me -- it's creepy but it's even weirder when it's a girl," Tiffany told the Herald.
"It was going on for three or four months -- it just kept getting stranger and stranger."
Tiffany said that the female stalker was following her online and adding every friend that she had befriended.
"It's all been sorted," she said. "I had to stop the person from posting things on Facebook and block them on Twitter."
The Kildare model wants to try her hand at acting, after completing her degree in PR and Communications, and she is relocating to Hollywood for the summer to take up some acting classes.
Her uncle, Kevin Connor, a director who has worked on North and South, The Old Curiosity Shop and Great Expectations, should be able to steer her in the right direction.
"He has an amazing house in the Hills. It's so nice over there -- the people are so friendly," Tiffany said.
Relatively new on the modelling scene, Tiffany is carving out a name for herself after first appearing on the ICA Bootcamp on RTE.
"I'm still more of a microwave chef but I know how to sew now -- though I don't trust myself to make my own clothes," she said.
The former Miss Kildare gave up her high-flying career in marketing to pursue her dream of being a model and said that the change was well worth it.
The number of photocall requests are stocking up and the aspiring actress is now a firm favourite alongside the likes of Georgia Salpa and Nadia Forde.
"You are going into the unknown -- you don't know what's going to happen or how much work you are going to get. I thought I'd take a chance and see what happens," she explained.
