Tiny village 'buzzing' over Brian and Amy's wedding

A small rural village is preparing for the celebrity wedding of the year -- even though it's six months away.

Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll and actress/ author Amy Huberman are due to tie the knot in Leitrim this summer, sparking a flurry of excitement among local businesses.

The couple will hold their reception in Lough Rynn Castle hotel in July, but there has been much speculation about where the actual wedding will take place.

Now Aughavas is said to be "buzzing" with excitement that the couple will marry in the local St Joseph's Church.

Parish priest Fr Sam Holmes said that Brian and Amy "may be considering four to five churches around the Mohill area" and that St Joseph's was one of them.

Fr Holmes said that a lot of work goes into planning the wedding Mass but as of yet, no meeting or contact has been made between him and the couple.

The church at Aughavas is eight miles from Mohill, and close to Lough Rynn Castle and its 300 acres of land.

The couple have been dating since early 2007 and got engaged in March 2009, a few days after O'Driscoll captained Ireland to a historic Grand Slam victory.
