SHE'S no stranger to playing kick-ass heroes with super-human powers.
And now Carlow native Saoirse Ronan has been tipped to star in blockbuster The Avengers 2.
The 19-year-old actress is rumoured to play the part of the Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda, alongside Thor, the Hulk and Captain America.
If she gets the part, Saoirse will have to amp up her sex appeal to play the curvaceous Avengers character.
Wanda is the daughter of Magneto – played by Ian McKellen – and sister to Quicksilver and Polaris.
The Scarlet Witch wears a figure-hugging rubber cat suit, billowing cape, elbow-length gloves and a pointy scarlet mask.
Saoirse, who played the lead in Stephenie Meyer's The Host, has said in the past that she loves filming her own action scenes.
While she may be a dab hand at kung-fu kicks, the latex onesie may take some getting used to.
Her super-human powers include probability manipulation, reality warping and chaos magic. In layman's terms, that means she hexes people.
