CHAMPAGNE corks were popping at the weekend for Grainne Seoige as the presenter marked her engagement with a bang.

The popular Galway girl was over the moon after partner Leon Jordaan went down on one knee and she celebrated with a big bash for family and friends in Dublin on Saturday night.

The happy couple have been engaged for six months, but decided to keep the news a secret among their family and close friends.

However, after finally confirming that she is to marry again, the Crimecall host slipped the ring on her finger and partied with her loved ones and fiancé Leon.

The couple toasted their good news in celebrity haunt Lillie's Bordello on Grafton Street where they threw a party for 150 people.

They were joined by family, friends and stars from the world of TV and sport, including Grainne's sister, TG4 star Síle.

RTE starlet Kathryn Thomas turned out with partner Padraig McLoughlin, fresh from her appearance at Friday night's VIP Style Awards, alongside her Voice of Ireland co-host Eoghan McDermott.

Impressive

Presenter and businesswoman Norah Casey, celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin, broadcaster Tom McGurk, presenter Baz Ashmawy, actor Liam Cunningham, radio host Mairead Farrell and comedian Neil Delamere were also among the guests.

The couple have yet to decide on wedding plans, but are hoping to marry later this year or in 2015 in either Ireland or South Africa. Despite getting engaged last November, Grainne was presented with her impressive ring at a restaurant in Howth last week and her other half travelled to his native South Africa to personally choose it.

Grainne has been dating the Durban-born rugby coach-turned-businessman since October 2011.
