A massive congrats to well-known author Marisa Mackle, who's celebrating the publication of her 20th book this month.

The best-selling writer and Herald columnist has spent the past few days on a whirlwind book tour as she meets and greets her fans while signing copies of her latest release The Secret Nanny Club.

And to mark the release of her latest tome, she's inviting a select group of family and friends to join her for a lunch at Patrick Guilbaud's tomorrow.

The writer, who has one son, Gary (4), published her first book Mr Right For The Night over 10 years ago and has kept churning them out ever since.

•Miss Bikini Ireland 2012 is to be held at the Wright Venue Dublin next weekend.

The inaugural pageant attracted more than 3,500 entries from hopeful beauties from all around the country before they were whittled down to just 40.

And they'll be going head-to-head for the title next Friday at an event that will be televised by Sky Showcase channel 191.

The winner will receive an all-expenses trip to the world finals of Miss Bikini International, which takes place in Shanghai on November 20.

The winning girl will also receive a modelling contract. To see the finals, head along to the Swords venue. Entry costs €15.

•Hollywood hunk and Bridesmaids star Chris O'Dowd has confirmed he'll be in town next week for the Irish premiere of his new movie The Sapphires.

The red carpet will be rolled out at the Savoy cinema on Tuesday, with the Moone Boy star leading the list of big-name attendees. The Boyle native will be joined by director Wayne Blair and leading actors, including Shari Sebbens and Deborah Mailman.

The flick will be released on November 7 but we have 80 pairs of tickets to be won for the premiere of the movie next week. Turn to page 31 for more details.

•More details have been released for next year's Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

Organisers have announced the Irish premiere of new release Argo, which will see lead actor and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston in attendance at the event.

The 2013 festival will run from February 14 to 24.
