- Celeb chef Kevin Dundon was presiding over a tasty launch at the Dylan earlier this week as he invited all his pals and well-heeled colleagues to join him in the upmarket hotel.

Given that he's the new face of Philadelphia and will feature in their new TV ads, it was little wonder most of the dishes he served up involved some use of the soft cream cheese.

His guests sat down to a quirky mixture of meals all created especially for the event. Among those who were out pressing the flesh were Derek Davis, Aoife Cox, Niamh O'Reilly and Sonya O'Donoghue.

Businessman Paul Ryan, whose other half is 98's entertainment reporter, Siobhan O'Connor, has revealed how he and pal Shane Madden have taken over the running of Ms Planet Beach 2010.

And to kick things off, he had a launch to mark his new endeavour at Planet Beach in Tallaght, where there was no shortage of familiar faces posing for the cameras.

Helping him to co-ordinate the search for the next top beauty are Bscene agency owners Sean Montague and Brendan Marc Scully, who certainly have an eye for talent.

A gaggle of celebs have already signed on to act as judges at the nationwide heats, including Baz Ashmawy, Sara Kavanagh, Virginia Macari and Xpose's Lisa Cannon.

  • JOHN Mayer has revealed he's finding it tough to move on from his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.

The US singer-songwriter calls himself an "a*****e" for breaking up with the Tinseltown actress, whom he describes as "fantastic".

"I've never really gotten over it -- it was one of the worst times of my life," John told Rolling Stone magazine.

The on-off couple started dating in 2008, but broke up in August of that year before reconciling. They later split officially in March. John admitted he wants to settle down with the right woman.

"I'll be happy when I close out this life-partner thing," he said.

wwwA huge congrats to successful slimmer Dymphna Carthy, who beat off competition from all over Ireland to claim the title of Curvette of the Year. The 67-year-old Shannon native went home happy after winning the coveted title. As well as a 10-year membership to Curves, she was also gets a family trip to Turkey from Sunway holidays.

She was one of five finalists who were all given the VIP treatment with a stay in the Fitzwilliam hotel, plus professional hair and make-up styling, before the final choice was made.

Determined Dymphna managed to drop four sizes and shed nearly two stone to achieve her new look for 2010. "I was uncomfortable in my own skin and very bloated. But now I have never felt so good," she said.
