- Irish rockers Bell X1 have just been added to the line-up for next month's Meteor Ireland Music Awards. The Blue Lights On The Runway stars will be belting out some of their best-known tracks at the RDS on February 19.

The lads are up for more than three awards on the night. Stars at the star-studded event will include Westlife, Snow Patrol, The Script, Florence And The Machine, Paulo Nutini, as well as pop princess Pixie Lott.

Gorgeous Amanda Byram will be presenting, with more big-name acts to be confirmed.

wwwKeep an eye out for the lovely Martha Lynn, who will be making her magazine debut shortly.

The Audrey Hepburn lookalike trotted home victorious from Leopardstown last month after winning the big fashion prize at the Best Dressed Lady contest.

The brunette proved you don't need to blow the budget when it comes to looking good, given that her coat came from Penneys and she made the hat herself.

As part of her prize, she took part in her first fashion spread and will feature on the front cover of April's Irish Tatler magazine.

wwwRTE star Amy Huberman led the roll-call for IFTA nominees at the Shelbourne Hotel this morning. The pint-sized actress is nominated in the Best Actress category for her stint in The Clinic.

The awards bash takes place in the Burlington Hotel on February 20.

Presiding over today's launch was Arts Minister Martin Cullen.

wwwAppalachian hellraisers Hayseed Dixie will be taking to the stage at the Tripod on February 20 when they bring their inimitable style to Dublin.

They'll shortly embark on a European tour to coincide with the release of their new album Killer Grass next month. The blue grass-inspired band will also perform in Galway on February 18.



  • Superstar Rihanna has just confirmed she'll play a second date at the O2 Dublin when she comes over here next May.

The Umbrella star will be thrilling her Irish fans when she takes to the stage in the northside venue and will have no shortage of material to perform, given that she has just released her fourth studio album, Rated R, as her follow-up to Good Girl Gone Bad.

She worked with a gang of well-known artists to ensure her high standards were maintained, including Justin Timberlake and Stargate.

She'll perform at the O2 Dublin on May 22 with a second gig shortly after. Tickets go on sale on Friday morning.
