- We're sure all our celebrities like to think their internet musings are deeply significant to their Irish fans.

But now that Edelman has compiled a list of Ireland's most influential Twitter users, it has really set the cat among the pigeons in celeb-land.

They rated several stars by the quality and quantity of their Tweets, how engaging and trusted they are, as well as their overall popularity.

According to the survey, the most important user of the social networking site is Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan.

In second place is 2FM DJ Rick O'Shea, while Prime Time broadcaster Mark Little is number 4. Westlife's Nicky Byrne emerged in fifth position, ahead of his bandmate Mark Feehily who is number six, while comedian Des Bishop came in 10th.

- Model Jenny-Lee Masterson will be presiding over a charity event in aid of Keith Duffy's organisation.

The gorgeous Dubliner will take centre stage at Fashion Rocks at the Wright Venue on January 31 as she tries to drum up plenty of cash for Irish Autism Action.

The event will centre around a fashion show featuring many of Jenny's model pals, alongside live rock music, saucy Burlesque performances and a DJ session. Tickets costing €20 are on sale now and among those who have confirmed their attendance are Valerie Roe, Laura Toogood and nightclub boss Michael Wright.

- Celebrity chef Rachel Allen popped into O'Briens sandwich store in Cork this week as she unveiled her new line of sambos.

The blonde beauty has been named as the new face of the Irish brand and was on a whirlwind promotional tour as she unveiled her signature sandwich range.

The mum of three has also planning on taking America by storm later this year after her hit series Bake! was bought up by one of the top networks in the US.

- Here's some good news for recession-hit music fans.

Singer/songwriter Nick Kelly will be performing in Whelans later this month as part of his Gestation Project. He'll be staging special acoustic show, tickets for which are a mere €5.

The Running Dog star has been performing on the last Wednesday of every month in the Wexford Street venue where he showcases a set of new songs to fans.

- Michael Buble is engaged to Argentinian actress girlfriend Luisana Loreley Lopilato De La Torre.

The Canadian singer has been dating the 22-year-old star of Argentinian soap opera, Atraccion x 4 since November 2008 and he popped the question before Christmas.

Buble's representative said: "Michael proposed to his girlfriend, Luisana in front of her family in Argentina. They're ecstatic, they're adorable, in love and laugh all day long."
