Stephen's death still hurts more than ever -- brother

THE heartbroken brother of Stephen Gately says the singer's deaths still feels like it's only months ago.

Tony Gately (30) has launched a new campaign to raise awareness about undiagnosed heart conditions after the Boyzone star's sudden death at his Spanish apartment on October 10, 2009.

"It's been three years but it still feels like three months ago. "I don't know where the time went. It still hurts more than ever. I'm sure I'll be in bits tomorrow," Tony said.

The bus driver revealed how he'll be paying tribute to the singer in his own way on his anniversary by going to a church made famous by Dan Brown's bestseller The Da Vinci Code.

"I'll be heading to the Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh, where I live now, as Stephen always wanted to go and visit it so I'll go there and light a candle in his memory. I'm sure I'll be bawling my eyes out and having a few drinks on the day," he said.

Tony went on to explain how he fully believes Stephen would still be alive today had his heart condition been caught prior to his passing.

"All it would have taken was for him to get an ECG done and if it was caught, I fully believe he would still be here today."
