BRIAN McFadden has moved out of the home he shares with Aussie singer Delta Goodrem, sparking rumours that their six-year relationship is on the rocks.
The ex-Westlife singer sent the rumour mill into overdrive when he decided to move out of their plush Hunter's Hill home in Sydney and stay with a pal while Goodrem is in LA recording new material. However, the Irishman is insisting the couple's relationship is better than ever.
As blonde beauty Delta has been spending a considerable amount of time Stateside, Brian is now living with music clip director Dan Reisinger, with whom he worked earlier this year.
Speaking to the Herald this morning, Brian's father Brendan said he was in the dark as to what is happening between the couple.
"I didn't hear anything. You know more than I do," he said.
When quizzed as to whether Delta is currently in the US recording an album, Brendan replied: "I don't know."
The couple, who have been engaged for the past three years, postponed their wedding last year -- but just last month, Brian insisted that they would be wed by the end of 2010.
Although representatives for neither McFadden nor Goodrem would explain why Brian had moved out of the couple's rented home, they did confirm that he was staying with Reisinger.
Delta has been residing in LA as she writes new material, and she has become as well known for her lonely Tweets as for her music.
Last week, she wrote about her excitement at her piano being delivered to her home and two days ago, she shared: "Love Extreme Makeover home edition - although I've never watched an episode without crying my eyes out! Gets me every time..."
Sources close to the pair insist that they have not split and Brian simply moved out in a bid to save money and combat his loneliness.
An insider revealed: "Delta's not around and Brian gets bored. They've not split up."
Brian, who is currently a judge on Australia's Got Talent has previously spoken out about his financial woes in the past, saying that his custody battle for his two daughters Molly (8) and Lilly Sue (7), with ex-wife Kerry Katona, left him broke.
Although the couple have yet to take the plunge, just last month Brian insisted that the wedding is "number one on our agenda".
He revealed last week that they would be recording together once again, five years after meeting on the set of their duet Almost Here.
The high-profile couple often write songs together in private, but this is only their second official collaboration with their song, Mistakes, to feature on McFadden's new album Wall Of Soundz.
"We love working together," McFadden said. "The only question we had at the start was that the lyrics aren't love lyrics -- they're almost half break-up lyrics."
