Sorry girls, Jack is off the market as agent confirms engagement

IT'S the news his female fans had been dreading – actor Jack Reynor is engaged to Madeline Mulqueen.

The 22-year-old Irish Transformers star has confirmed that he is engaged to his Limerick beauty of two years after he went down on bended knee.

Model Madeline (23) set tongues wagging this week after an appearance on Dublin's Grafton Street where she was seen sporting a sizeable sparkler while filming a pilot TV show.

The Horse Outside beauty was giving nothing away when asked for a comment. But Reynor's agent has confirmed that the couple are indeed engaged.

The pair have been dating for two years now after initially meeting via Twitter before he decided to bring her as his date to the IFTAs in 2013.

She proved to be his lucky charm as he went on to win the Rising Star award the same night for movie What Richard Did. Madeline initially found fame as the love interest in the Rubberbandits hit Horse Outside and signed to a model agency.

She also took part in a celebrity edition of Come Dine With Me and had been dividing her time between Ireland and America after falling for Jack. Although a relative newcomer to Hollywood, her fiancé has been tipped as one to watch in 2014. His first blockbuster Transformers: Age of Extinction co-stars Mark Wahlberg and is due for release in June.

But things haven't always been so easy for handsome Jack, who came clean in an interview last May about the personal hardships he faced before landing his Transformers role (below).

"I hadn't worked in nine months," he said. "I was living at home with my mom, and she had just developed breast cancer. It was difficult because I have a five-year-old brother and seven-year-old sister and we were in a dark place economically. I couldn't even get an audition for network TV at home in Ireland.

"Now I'm talking about Vince Vaughn, Michael Bay, and Mark Wahlberg like they're my mates. F***ing crazy, man."
