Single Tommy mixes with festival beauty

RUGBY hunk Tommy Bowe was determined to make the most of his single status this weekend when he enjoyed the company of a mystery blonde at Friday night's Oxegen festivities.

The Diary spotted the Monaghan man -- who confirmed that he is very much single last month -- looking cosy with the leggy beauty in front of the stage, as he joined a crowd of revellers to enjoy David Guetta's headline act at the Heineken Green Spheres tent.

The Ospreys player, who had mingled with fellow celebs in the VIP area earlier that evening, was mobbed by female fans looking for photographs with him, as he showed off his moves during the set.

Tommy (26), who is a huge fan of Guetta, is said to have hit it off with the DJ when the pair were later introduced backstage.

Meanwhile last night saw the sportsman join fellow rugby players Luke Fitzgerald, Cian Healy and Jamie Heaslip on stage, when the foursome lined out alongside Mumford and Sons. Having mingled backstage with the London folk four-piece, the Irish rugby stars were invited on stage to play drums for their closing song, The Cave.

Despite being billed at the same time as big-hitters Eminem and The Prodigy, fans flocked to the Heineken Green Spheres tent to catch the sportsmen make their festival debut.

For Leinster hero Cian Healy, however, it marked his second stint on stage this weekend.

Cian had already showed off his DJ skills on Friday afternoon when he rocked the stage at the Dance Arena under the alias DJ Church.

On Thursday afternoon he and Heaslip had cycled to the Naas racecourse from Terenure in Dublin as part of a group of 30 cyclists taking part in the 2 Wheels 2 Oxegen cycle, in aid of the Christina Noble Foundation.
