SIMON Cowell owes his youthful looks to the woolly creatures.
Cowell treats himself to sheep placenta facials at €411 a pop in a bid to look younger than his 52 years.
The slimy secret has been revealed by a beauty therapist from Beverly Hills Lancer dermatology clinic in California which Simon attends regularly and which is also reportedly frequented by Victoria Beckham.
It is unclear whether the former Spice Girl is an equally enthusiastic fan of the placenta facials but Simon is certainly no stranger to beauty treatments and freely admits to being vain.
He has previously described using Botox for wrinkles as "no more unusual than toothpaste". The record company boss also gets regular vitamin injections in his quest for eternal youth.
Beauty therapist Lorraine revealed his latest youthful secret on a British TV show saying of the sheep facials, "He loves it."
Simon was not available for comment, but in the past he has been very open about his beauty regime.
The talent judge even recommended that fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh get Botox and dye his hair to look younger.
Louis took the advice to heart and has even had a hair transplant treatment.
Simon is reputed to have tried drips, detoxes, smoothies, Botox and massages to keep his healthy glow.
The treatment requires 30 minutes of exfoliation followed by an LED light shined at the face to open pores. A beauty professional then applies the placenta, which is mixed with 24 carat gold flakes and comes in the form of a gel.
