IT was a family affair at the Cheerios Childline concert in the O2. Proud wife and mum Georgina Ahern brought twins Jay and Rocco to see dad Nicky in action.

The Hit presenter was the MC for the annual pop fundraiser.

And Georgina was joined by her sister, Cecelia, who brought daughter Robin (3).

It was the first time in 17 months that former Westlife singer Nicky had shared a stage with bandmate Shane Filan, who performed his new single, About You.

Although he spent 14 years touring the world with the group and his solo album is number one in several countries, Shane said his mum remains his biggest fan.

Proud Mae Filan still documents every moment of his chart success and goes to see him live as much as possible.

"My mum wouldn't miss anything," Shane said.

"She keeps all the clippings from the papers and has everything in scrapbooks."

Shane took to the stage for his biggest performance of his solo career so far at last night's concert.

And he was interviewed on stage by Nicky for the first time.

Shane said: "It's funny because when we knew the band was splitting, we said we would bump into each other on TV shows and Nicky was like, 'Sure, I'll probably interview you one day'.

"Now we get to act it out in real life."

The 34-year-old, who has spent recent months touring Asia, said that travelling as a solo artist can be tough compared with the days when Westlife enjoyed the superstar treatment everywhere they went.
