Saturdays look a real drag dressed as men

THE Saturdays got in touch with their masculine side when shooting upcoming pop video 'Gentlemen'.

Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Vanessa White, Rochelle Humes and Mollie King slicked back their hair and donned sharp black suits in the new video.

But the girl's macho dressing looks amateurish and feeble when compared to other starlets.

The look has been done before, and done better.

In 2011 Lady Gaga arrived at the MTV Awards as her drag king persona Jo Calderone (right), while Annie Lennox wore a sharp power suit and tie during her Sweet Dreams period (below right).

Screen siren Marlene Dietrich loved wearing top hats and men's trousers, while Madonna was a big fan of tailored suits in the Eighties.

Even pop diva Mariah Carey has dressed as a man, sporting a goatee and waistcoat for her video Obsessed.

When compared with these stars and singers, The Saturdays' attempt to Do It Like A Dude falls flat on its face.

The girls look much more at home in their Wisteria Lane-style dresses.

The Saturdays sing in front of manicured lawns in the video while wearing pink party dresses.

They should stick to the jewels and taffeta, and leave dressing like Gentlemen to the A-listers.
