FANS of axed TV show No Frontiers might recognise a familiar voice as they scan their weekly shopping.
Presenter Jenny Buckley (31) has bounced back from the disappointment of seeing the travel show grounded, by landing a gig providing the voiceover for Superquinn's self-service facility.
Jenny admits, however, that she can no longer use the self-service facility at the store.
"I used it once and I just ended up fighting with myself saying 'unexpected item on the checkout area', so I vowed I would be using the old- fashioned method from then on," she laughed.
The blonde beauty told the Diary of her shock after it was announced that the show, fronted by Kathryn Thomas, is to be cancelled.
Jenny is hoping that she will have the opportunity to continue working with RTE in the future, but said she was not sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring and has been busy generating voice-over work for herself since filming on the series wrapped.
"I think it's very disappointing that it's gone and particularly for Kathryn," she told the Diary.
"I haven't seen her in a while so we haven't spoken about it, but I'm sure she'll excel at whatever she puts her mind to, she always does.
"Everyone I know watched the show."
