Rugby ace Luke finds new love match with blonde beauty Kerri

Rugby ace Luke Fitzgerald is getting over his injury woes by hooking up with beauty Kerri Ingram-Walpole.

The Leinster star is tackling a new romance with the 20-year-old blonde after they were spotted out on a number of social occasions -- most recently last Saturday night.

The pair were seen looking very cosy indeed at a friend's bash in Stillorgan and made it clear to all onlookers that they are definitely dating.

"They were at a party and were together for most of the night. I wouldn't say they were all over each other or anything but they made it clear that they were together," said an insider. "They were chatting and were seen kissing each other as the night wore on. It wasn't a big deal as they were among friends and didn't seem to mind who saw them.

"It's still early days, they've only been going out for a few weeks but things are going well so far. But, like some of the other rugby lads, Luke hates seeing his personal life splashed all over the newspapers as he prefers to keep things private.

"That's why he wants to keep the relationship just between him and Kerri for a while and doesn't want to see it written all over the place. He's concentrating on his game at the moment, like the rest of the team."

When contacted about her budding romance with the 22-year-old Wicklow native, model Kerri was keeping a lady-like silence on the issue.

"I don't really want to talk about it. I would like to keep my private life to myself," she said.

Fitzgerald, part of the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa last year, is currently recovering from a serious knee injury.

This is the first time that Kerri, who works in promotions with Dublin's 98, has been linked with anyone high profile. Formerly on the books of Assets, she is now working with John Compton's agency and is one of the busiest models on his books.

A DIT Aungier Street student, the brainy beauty was previously named Miss University 2008 and studied journalism and Spanish at college with an eye to studying fashion journalism.

She went on to compete in Andrea Roche's Miss Universe Ireland pageant but was pipped at the post by eventual winner Lynn Kelly.

She left Assets agency late last year around the same time as fellow models Avril Kelly and Anna Kachur amid claims that they weren't happy with the amount of work they were getting.
