Ryan Tubridy may have spent years climbing his way to the top of RTE -- but he will still be taking orders from his ex.
The chat king's estranged wife Anne Marie Power has recently been appointed the new entertainment and music editor of Radio 1 -- making her Ryan's direct boss for The Tubridy Show.
Power is a highly respected producer from her experience with Liveline, and is now trying her hand at the lighter side of broadcasting.
The mother of Ryan's children will not only be in charge of his show, but she will also be supervising The John Creedon Show, Mooney and other specialist programmes.
She will begin in her new post in a month, according to an RTE spokesperson.
The couple split in 2006 after nine years together and have two daughters, Ella (11) and Julia (5), whom they guard from the limelight.
The pair remain on good terms and RTE's golden boy is said to have been thrilled for Anne Marie.
Since splitting four years ago, Tubridy has gone to great lengths to avoid media scrutiny surrounding his love life, but his most high-profile relationship to date came when he began dating former Rose of Tralee Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain (27) last year.
The notoriously private couple often remain coy about the personal details of their relationship -- but aren't shy being photographed together.
