Roz throws birthday bash in Lillie's as Trump namechecks her on Letterman show spot

Donald Trump is determined to turn Rozanna Purcell into a big star Stateside after name checking her on the David Letterman show.

The Herald can reveal how the American mogul behind the Miss Universe contest, was singing the praises of the Tipperary native on the hit chat show.

Letterman regularly pulls in four million viewers and Trump made sure to bring up his latest big signing to his model agency.

Speaking about the eventual winner Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete, he described her as "really beautiful" and said she was "everyone's favourite -- although Miss Ireland was beautiful too, I don't know if anybody saw her."

He has been blown away by Rozanna (20) after meeting her at the contest in Las Vegas last month, where she finished seventh. Her mentor Andrea Roche said he wasted no time in signing her up to his agency in New York, Trump Model Management and believes he has what it takes to make it to the top.

"Donald rang me to say could she go over to New York as he wanted to sign her up to his agency as soon as possible.

"He has big plans for her so it's just about organising the small things now like getting her a work visa and helping her find a place to live," she explained. "I'm really proud of her, she has done so well."

The beauty queen jetted back to Ireland this week, just in time to celebrate her 20th birthday with a bash in Lillie's Bordello tonight.

She'll be joined by her family and friends, as well as her boyfriend Jamie Hunt.

However, she's not expected to be on these shores for long before she flies back to the US to start her new life.
