ROG not at wedding as wife gives birth to boy

AS IRELAND captain Brian O'Driscoll lined out with his new bride, teammate Ronan O'Gara was getting to grips with his new baby boy.

The Munster outhalf was unable to attend the celebrity wedding of the year as he was celebrating the birth of his third child.

Ronan's wife Jessica (32) went into labour on Wednesday afternoon and she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in Cork University Hospital just before midnight.

The couple, who have year-and-a-half-old twins, are said to be "over the moon" with the new addition to the clan.

Ronan (32) married his childhood sweetheart Jessica, a school teacher in Douglas, in July 2006 and the pair live in Cork.

And Mr and Mrs O'Driscoll were among the first to congratulate the international rugby star and his wife.

Messages also flooded in from their many friends in the rugby world.

Ronan, who was touring with the Irish team in Australia, only got back on Monday and was just in time to be there for the birth.

"He was delighted to be there to support Jessica," the friend added.

The O'Garas now have three babies under the age of two -- twins Rua and Molly were born in October 2008.

Both mother and baby were said to be doing very well last night, and Jessica is expected to be discharged from hospital this evening.

Her father is well-known Cork businessman Dominic Daly, who has been on tenterhooks waiting for his next grandchild to arrive.

He previously said he was "thrilled and delighted" at the prospect of new babies in the family.
