Rockers out in force for Hot Press launch

There was no shortage of movers and shakers at the Sugar Club last night for the annual Hot Press bash.

The Dublin mag threw a raucous party to unveil their yearly Who's Who list of everyone worth knowing in the music and entertainment business.

And there was plenty of scrambling among nervous attendees to have a peak at the mag's new Yearbook to check out who had made the list -- and more importantly, who was left off it.

Things kicked off with a complimentary Jameson and canape reception before editor Niall Stokes took to the stage to welcome everyone.

Shortly afterwards, the live entertainment kicked off, with performances from Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club, Villagers and the Mighty Stef.

Among those spotted mingling in the packed club were former Channel 6 beauty Michelle Doherty, PR pretty Sonia Reynolds and 98's Siobhan O'Connor, who was there with hubbie Paul.

Meanwhile, sci-fi fans were out in force down at the Savoy cinema for the red-carpet premiere of Transformers -- Revenge of the Fallen.

The blockbuster received its first Irish showing at the bash at the Savoy ahead of its nationwide release.
