Rocha's girl jets in for fashion bash

JOHN Rocha's designer daughter Simone (25) jetted into Dublin last night for an invite-only fashion bash in the City Hall.

And she revealed that she does occasionally turn to her famous father, who was in London last night, when it comes to asking for tips from the top.

Given that she has been shadowing her father at fashion shows since the age of 12, it's little wonder that the fashion graduate is just as passionate about the rag trade.

"Of course I do, whenever I need it, just like any dad with any daughter," she said.

Fresh from showing off her latest work in New York City, she was back in her native Ireland to unveil her latest collaboration with West Coast Cooler.

She has designed their new lace-look bottle just in time for summer and was sipping from one last night as she got in the party mode.

Explaining how the bottle was inspired by her new collection, she said: "It's great to put my work into a different medium." Asked for the key looks for this season, she pinpointed plenty of lace and tailoring with everything kept "quite youthful".

Based full-time in London for the past four years, she said she "loved" her adopted city.

She chose five of our top teenage models to show off her latest looks, including Danielle Winckward (17), Aoife Kavanagh and schoolgirl Thalia Heffernan (16) -- pictured left with Blaithnaid McKenna.

Attendees at last night's bash included stylists Emily O'Donnell and Darren Kennedy alongside Avila Lipsett and Cathy O'Connor.

Simone was joined by her mum Odette alongside her dad's good pal, crooner Gavin Friday.
