Rob lines out with WAG-tastic new girl

The new girlfriend of Irish rugby ace Rob Kearney's proved she's the perfect real-life WAG last night when she stepped out in public for the first time with her man.

Susie Amy, who formerly played Chardonnay in Footballers' Wives, jetted into town from London for what she described as "a flying visit" to accompany her new beau to the opening night of hit musical, Queen's We Will Rock You at the O2.

And despite a number of technical glitches, which saw the performance halted by up to a half an hour, the couple stuck it out until the very end, following the crowd and jumping to their feet to sing along to the show's closing song, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The obliging 28-year-old British beauty even stood back and held her 23-year-old other half's coat, when a group of excited female fans mobbed the Leinster player looking for autographs and pictures, as the couple left the auditorium hand in hand. Earlier that night the media shy couple were reluctantly photographed as they made their way into the venue. Determined to avoid a repeat performance on their way out, the high-profile pair exited separately, with Kearney joining a rugby pal to leave, while Susie went ahead on her own. The striking brunette was determined to play down the earlier incident however, claiming that she had found it "very funny".

"Oh I don't mind. I thought it was very funny," Susie said of her first encounter with Dublin's media. "I'm just here for a flying visit. I'm glad I caught the show, I thought it was fantastic. I'm a massive Queen fan." The actress, who shot to fame after landing the part of spoiled WAG, Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in Footballers' Wives, was determined she would be remaining tight-lipped on her budding romance with the hunky sportsman.

The newly loved-up couple were not the only well-known names to step out to last night's event, with a host of big names spotted enjoying the musical's debut Irish performance.

Among those who turned on the style for the show, were RTE's The Afternoon Show co-hosts, Maura Derrane and Sheana Keane, who appear to have bonded since they began working together late last year. Also in attendance was RTE broadcaster Gay Byrne, Liveline host Joe Duffy, former TV3 star Lorraine Keane, Xpose presenter Aisling O'Loughlin and her colleague Sean Munsanje, model Louise Kavanagh, TV presenter Jenny Buckley and panto queen Twink and her daughters.
