Ricky can't wait to show us his moves

FORMER Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle is looking forward to partying up a storm in the capital's best-known hotspots when he jets into Dublin next month for the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour at the O2.

The hunky actor told the Diary how he can't wait to spend the last weekend in January hitting the tiles alongside his co-stars on the tour, who include Matt Baker, Patsy Kensit, Tina O'Brien and this year's Strictly winner, Kara Tointon.

Ricky (29) had been due to come to Ireland earlier this month to enjoy a night out with pals, but had to postpone the visit when his flight was cancelled due to the snow.

"I love Dublin, I've got loads of friends over there and I can't wait for a good night out," Ricky explained.

"I used to go there a good bit for filming when I was in Dream Team and I still have a lot of friends there. They were planning a big night out for me when I came over this month so now we'll have to make up for it.

"I'm going to bring the whole gang from the tour out, probably to Lillie's Bordello, so Dublin better watch out.

"I am seeing someone at the moment but I love Irish girls. I could listen to the accent all day," he added.

Ricky, who relocated to the States earlier this year, is due to take to the Strictly stage from January 28 to 30.

Host of the show will be Zoe Ball, who came third in the TV series in 2005.
