Dublin greeted two of Hollywood star John Wayne's children last night, when more than 500 fans shunned the June sunshine for the Savoy Cinema on O'Connell Street for the second John Ford Ireland event.
Wayne's daughter Marissa gave a special nod to Ireland when she said The Quiet Man (inset) was her favourite film.
Patrick and Marissa Wayne were in Dublin to take part in a special interview with RTE's Miriam O'Callaghan.
This is the second year of the event celebrating director John Ford.
"The Quiet Man is my favourite ever film and I've said that a number of times," said LA-based Marissa.
"It's just majestic, the scenery, the story," she explained about the Mayo-made movie that starred flamed-haired Irish actress Maureen O'Hara.
The second John Ford Ireland Event takes place this weekend with filmmakers and film experts, including Dublin film heroes Jim Sheridan and Roddy Doyle.
