Popular Conor leaves Krystle for new adventures in Tinseltown

NIGHTCLUB manager Conor Buckley spent six years meeting and greeting all of the capital city's VIP's on the doors of Krystle nightclub.

Having welcomed in everyone from Bono to Zara Phillips, Conor is no stranger to pressing the flesh with the cream of society.

So there was much surprise a month ago when he decided to move on from the Harcourt Street haunt to pastures new, amid much speculation about his future career move.

But despite rumours that he would follow in the footsteps of former co-manager Brian O'Malley and join him in the Bath Avenue pub he set up earlier this year, it seems Conor has plans of his own.

He explained how having left the nightclub a month ago, he wanted to "take a career break and do some travelling" and perhaps take up some work opportunities abroad.

"Last week, I was offered an excellent opportunity to work and learn more about the restaurant, hotel and nightclub industry with a company based in Dublin and LA," he said.

He went on to say he had a "fantastic" time in the club and thanked co-owners Rangan Arulchelvan and Eileen Wright for everything and said it was a "great place to work in".
