Planning for Eurovision will be hectic ... but the Irish dancers are staying

SOME critics have said to get rid of the Irish dancers – but I'd have a whole Riverdance troupe on stage at the Eurovision if I was allowed.

I'm still reeling from the win on the Late Late Show last week and the fact that I'm getting to represent Ireland in Copenhagen in May. It's such an exciting time for me. We've got so much to organise that the next six weeks is going to fly.

We've been having meetings about what we want to do with the staging and I'd love it to be everything great about the Irish.

We are a musical country, so I just want that to shine out and make everyone proud. I think the audience will enjoy the Irish dancing and the fiddle player – I've decided I'm keeping the dancers.

I'd have 100 of them on stage with me if I could, but you're only allowed six people for the performance.

IMPORTANT

I think it will look great on the bigger stage – on the Late Late we couldn't do everything we wanted. The venue in Copenhagen will be huge so there'll be plenty of room and the dancers won't be crowding me or taking focus away from the song, Heartbeat.

The most important thing for me is to make it a great show.

I want my costume to be extravagant, something that can blow in wind and stands out. It would be fantastic to have it made by an Irish designer, but I loved the green dress I wore on Eurosong, so I might even go with something similar to that again. Either way, I've kept that dress – I adored it and I want to keep it for my grandchildren.

PERFORMING WITH REGARD TO MY DIET OR FITNESS REGIME, I'M HOPING TO START ON MONDAY. THE EUROSONG BUILD-UP AND PERFORMING, THEN WINNING, TAKES IT OUT OF YOU. WE CELEBRATED AGAIN WITH PANCAKES ON TUESDAY AND WE HAD FAMILY AND FRIENDS OVER TO THE HOUSE.

I will start hitting the gym in the run-up to May, because I want to feel strong and healthy. I can't be run-down either, so I'm going to make sure I've stocked up on vitamins.

It's incredibly important to be in good health – your voice sounds better. I know I'll never be able to completely give up chocolate, but I'll cut back .
