Peas frontman wastes no time in Dublin visit

BLACK Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am didn't waste a minute during his whirlwind stopover in Dublin.

The rapper, who is rumoured to be the new beau of Cheryl Cole, took to the stage in The Academy for a special DJ slot, the Herald can reveal.

He had initially booked into exclusive venue Lillies for a VIP party after the band's performance in The O2, but instead decided to do more work.

The star ditched his party plans and was joined by Felix da Housecat for the show.

He explained: "Dublin always has the best party people. I don't get to come here often enough. When I do I like to make the most of it."

Friday night saw the singer and two of his bandmates, alp.de.ap and Taboo, take to the stage in Tripod for a two-hour set.

The group, who partied minus female singer Fergie, were determined to make the most of their time in Dublin by partying into the early hours at the Harcourt Street venue.
