Panel of judges to vote on my wedding dress

XPOSE golden girl Karen Koster says choosing her wedding dress will be just like The X Factor -- with her friends acting as the panel of judges.

"I think selecting my dress will be like The X Factor final," the 30-year-old told the Herald.

"I'll have a judging panel with me saying yay or nay. People always say you know when you try on the dress that it's the one for you. But my friends and family will be there telling me if it's a hit or a miss."

The TV3 presenter said she has no idea what the dress will look like. "I haven't a clue to be honest. I haven't even started looking yet."

Karen and her fiance, TV presenter John McGuire, have yet to pick a date for the big day, but Karen says it will be a summer wedding.

"We haven't set a date for the wedding but we will soon," she said.

"We want to have it in June, around the time we got engaged last year."

John popped the question when the two were on holiday along the Amalfi coast in Italy.

Despite dating the former I'm An Adult: Get Me Out Of Here presenter for over four years, Karen admits the proposal came as a "massive shock."

"I had no idea that he was going to ask me -- none whatsoever," she said.

"I was blown away. I nearly dropped dead. I was an emotional wreck after he asked me. I cried every last bit of make-up off my face."

After the proposal, the couple danced the night away in an Italian nightclub.

The pair will return to Sorrento to exchange vows next summer and Karen says it will be an intimate affair.

"The wedding will take place in Italy, near Amalfi where John proposed.

"Obviously we're not expecting everyone to fly over, it will be a small family affair."

And despite the current celebrity baby boom, Karen says she is in no hurry to start a family.

"I know it sounds awful but I'm not that broody a person," she said.

"I'm not one of those types who is always cooing over children."

"I would eventually like a family, so babies are on the cards but in the future not right away," she said.
