Orlando Bloom said he was "really excited" at the prospect of becoming a father after it was revealed his new wife Miranda Kerr was expecting their first child.
The actor, who is in Munich to start filming The Three Musketeers, said he was looking forward to juggling his career with life as a new parent.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star said: "I'll go home as often as possible. I'm really excited about it, it's great.
"She'll come out here too."
Bloom married the Australian model in July after getting engaged a month earlier.
She revealed her baby news in an interview with Spanish Vogue.
"Yes, I am pregnant -- four months along," she said.
She said it had not been easy keeping the good news under wraps and revealed that she suffered from morning sickness during the first trimester.
"I remember on one occasion in the early days when it was still too soon to say anything, and I had a dreadful time at one job," she recalled.
The couple began dating in late 2007, and Kerr has made no secret of wanting to settle down and start a family.
