Oprah dishes up celebrity job for Irish chef

AN Irish chef is set to cook up a storm in Oprah's kitchen even though he has never met the star.

Stuart O'Keeffe is set to say goodbye to Dublin and hello to Beverly Hills after landing a job on the chat queen's TV channel.

But Irish viewers will get the first chance to test the young chef's cuisine as he will front a new TV3 show here called Stuart's Kitchen.

"The whole experience has been great, I can't believe all the positive feedback -- it's brilliant," he told the Herald.

With six episodes airing over the coming months, Stuart is putting his star skills to good use and showing Irish viewers how to kill it in the home economics department.

But that's not all he'll be doing -- the Tipperary man has revealed to the Herald there is another programme in the bag and it is bound to take his career to staggering heights.

Stuart is currently in talks about starring in a highly anticipated makeover show on Oprah Winfrey's network OWN.

"It's in the pipeline and starts filming in October," Stuart said.

"It's called Home Made Simple and basically sees a range of experts going into people's homes to do a full makeover of their lives.

"I'll be in charge of the kitchen aspect, so we'd do up their kitchen and teach them simple recipes to easy, good food."

The culinary king said it would be a dream come true to meet Oprah.
