TV3 has dismissed reports that its Xpose team missed Colin Farrell as he walked past while they were filming a wedding dress special in Brown Thomas.
The Castleknock superstar had been out shopping at the upmarket store when it is reported he walked past the crew while they filmed a piece with bride-to-be Pippa O'Connor.
The Minority Report star is believed to have visited the exclusive Grafton Street department store last week with his girlfriend, Alicja Bachleda-Curus, to buy a dress for last Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony in LA.
Xpose reporter Aisling O'Loughlin and her camera crew are said to have been getting ready to leave the store after joining model Pippa to record a report from the Vera Wang bridal boutique.
However a TV3 representative told the Herald that they had no knowledge of Farrell being in the store at the same time.
"We've heard nothing about it," a spokesperson for TV3 said. "I don't know any more about it than that."
A Brown Thomas spokesman said they could not comment on any individual customer.
Farrell spent two weeks at home with his Polish partner following the christening of their first baby, Henry Tadeusz Farrell, in Krakow last month.
Farrell flew home shortly before Christmas to catch up with his family and also attend the post-wedding celebrations of his brother Eamon and partner Steve Mannion at Krystle nightclub.
The pair had a civil union in Canada last summer and waited until Colin had time off from filming before having the lavish bash, to which the star brought his son James (5).
The star was photographed arriving at LA airport with their his new baby, who he protected from the glare of the cameras by wrapping him in a blanket.
The couple are rumoured to be returning next month to attend this year's Irish TV and Film Awards at the Burlington hotel on February 20.
Cork-based movie Ondine, which led to the couple's first meeting, has been nominated in eight categories.
