IT HAS become the latest craze to sweep the nation as thousands of Irish women continue to scrub off the war paint and go naked for their own no make-up selfie.
Among those to show off the bare-faced look to help support the Irish Cancer Society was someone who knows a lot about the illness.
Irish singer Majella O'Donnell proved that she can be an inspiration in more ways than one when she decided to follow the craze and posted a close-up shot of herself.
In the snap, the wife of crooner Daniel O'Donnell went make-up free and showed off her bald look as she continues treatment for breast cancer.
The mum-of-two, who announced last summer that she was battling cancer, has undergone a double mastectomy.
Majella (53), who had her head shaved live on the Late Late Show last year, posted the no make-up photo on Twitter.
DONATIONS
She joked with a friend who congratulated her: "I really haven't a clue what I'm doing so I hope I don't make a big boobie and post something I didn't mean to post!"
Majella's brave move appears to have worked and donations to the Irish Cancer Society have risen to €650,000 since the no make-up selfies started.
It has become a social media phenomenon, taking over Twitter and Facebook.
