Nothing compares to 3 says bride Sinead

CONTROVERSIAL singer Sinead O'Connor has walked down the aisle for the third time -- this time to guitarist and producer Steve Cooney.

The pair have been close friends for several years but took the step of exchanging vows this month in an intimate ceremony.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer posted a statement on her website yesterday, saying: "Thanks be to the Great Lord Jah. Rastafarai. Dread I. Conquering lion I. One love." Sinead's manager Fachtna O'Ceallaigh confirmed that Sinead did in fact marry the music producer but would not give any more details about the ceremony.

"I do not know the location or the circumstances," he said.

The mum-of-four's love life is no stranger to the headlines, but this time Sinead is hoping for a long- term happiness with her new hubby.

She was previously married to musician and producer John Reynolds, with whom she has one son, Jake, and exchanged vows with journalist Nick Sommerland.

She also has a child with journalist John Waters.

Sinead's love life has often been controversial -- she declared herself a lesbian 10 years ago then later explained she was "three-quarters heterosexual, a quarter gay.

"I lean a bit more towards hairy blokes."
