No thanks to reality TV, says Lorraine -- I'm no 'has-been'

TV presenter Lorraine Keane has poured cold water on suggestions that she may take part in TV3's Celebrity Apprentice -- claiming she is not a "has-been".

The presenter, who appeared with Bill Cullen and Jackie Lavin for a photoshoot at the RDS, has revealed how there's no way she would consider taking part in the forthcoming show.

When asked if she would consider being mentored by the pair in the new celebrity show, she told the Diary: "I thought those reality shows were for has-beens and wannabes, so no thanks!"

She quit her high-profile position fronting TV3's showbiz programme Xpose in April to spend more time with her two daughters, and has clearly not looked back since.

Lorraine is now working as the face of Garnier in Ireland and was also appointed as an ambassador for Trocaire, with her recent charity trip to Africa being featured on RTE's Nationwide last Friday.

However, she said she didn't find it in the least bit strange to be on another station.

"It wasn't weird at all -- it's just TV," she said. "It's just nice to watch something that I was very passionate about and thank God Trocaire got a great response, the phones were hopping afterwards, which is brilliant."

The wife of musician Peter Devlin joined forces with her pal, charity queen Norma Smurfit alongside Jackie and Bill this week to announce details of next month's Spring Clean For Charity.
