No hard feelings for Brendan as he steps out to support ex James's band

RTE presenter Brendan Courtney showed that there are no hard feelings between him and former flame James O'Neill last night when he stepped out to the Alternative Miss Ireland Pageant, where James's group Bitches With Wolves took to the stage to entertain attendees.

The Off The Rails presenter, who is reported to have split with the PR guru recently, clearly had no qualms about coming face to face with his ex at the star-studded event, which took place at the Olympia Theatre.

Brendan (38) and the flamboyant singer first began dating last October after meeting at a friend's party and quickly became regulars at the city's best known hotspots during their whirlwind romance.

Both have declined to comment on the split to date.

The pair joined a host of big names, including comedienne Katherine Lynch, at the annual extravaganza, which featured performances from the Rubber Bandits, Royseven and many more.

It has been a difficult few weeks for the broadcaster after a homophobic assault during a night out in the city centre left him with a black eye last month.

Brendan reported the incident to gardai and CCTV footage has been recovered.

The star is now keen to put the vicious assault behind him and is concentrating on the new series of Off The Rails, which returned to the small screen last week.

The latest series has been bumped up to one hour and will now feature a Gok Wan-style element.

The fashion show, which Courtney co-presents with stylist Sonya Lennon, has also gone international with segments from the recent London and Milan Fashion Weeks to be included in the upcoming series.
