Niall can win the X Factor, insists Belle Amie pal

BELLE Amie's Rebecca Creighton is backing her X Factor pal Niall Horan and his One Direction bandmates to win.

The Tallaght-born singer told the Diary she was confident the talented boyband had what it took to go all the way, but admitted they would face stiff competition from solo artist Matt Cardle.

"I think One Direction and Matt are the two who will be in the final," she said. "Obviously I think Mary (Byrne) is amazing and I got on with her so well in the house, but I think it will come down to the other two.

Rebecca and her Belle Amie bandmates performed at Blanchardstown Centre's Christmas party today.

The four girls were a huge draw along with GAA legend Micheal O'Muircheartaigh and the Dublin Gospel Choir.

Belle Amie have been in big demand since they left the competition, meaning Rebecca hasn't been able to cheer on Niall on telly.

"Unfortunately I don't get to see the show too much any more as Saturdays are our most busy, with four shows a night usually, but I always try and catch the repeat and the results show as well.

"Doing the X Factor was amazing but I think we have what it takes to make it big either way. We're all really hard working and we've been so busy since we left. We have three gigs a night, they're flying in," she added.

The rising star has now quit her career as a hairdresser and spends most of her time in Britain gigging across the country.

The singer says that her love life has been taking a backseat as a result, but insists she makes the most of any spare time she has by jetting home to Dublin to see her long-term boyfriend Glen Lawlor.
