NIALL Horan and his One Direction bandmates have a new member – Dennis the Menace.
The stars are to join characters from The Beano after being immortalised in a cartoon strip for Comic Relief.
The chart-topping stars are to appear in a spin-off from the the long-running children's magazine BeanoMAX.
Other big names to make a guest appearance in the comic are Jessie J, Olly Murs and Doctor Who David Tennant.
The famous names come together to enable regular Beano faces such as Dennis The Menace and Minnie The Minx to put on a charity show
One Direction, who last week won a "global success" Brit Award to recognise their international sales, said: "We've grown up with the magazine so now to actually appear in it with Dennis and Gnasher themselves is incredible."
The boys follow in the footsteps of Jedward, who were in the comic two years ago. The Grimes lads were given a cartoon makeover.
The One Direction lads Louis Tomlinson (21), Zayn Malik (20) and 19-year-olds Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are currently on a Live Arena Tour and will play Dublin's O2 on March 5 and 6.
The boys wear baseball jackets and flash their megawatt smiles as they hang out with Dennis.
Comedian Harry Hill is to guest edit The Beano's Red Nose Day special.
Hill has written some of his own strips as well as co-writing the main Dennis story, which sees the mischievous character getting his head shaved.
Mike Stirling, editor-in-chief of The Beano and BeanoMAX, said: "It was brilliant fun imagining how Jessie, Olly, David and 1D would interact with our mischievous characters and I hope they enjoy the results as much our readers and their fans will."
The Beano special goes on sale on March 6.
