Nadine doesn't have to like Girls Aloud, but she needs the band -- Louis

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has dished out some harsh advice for Girls Aloud Irish singer Nadine Coyle (25), saying "she needs the band".

The group's former manager has broken his silence on the alleged rift between the LA-based singer and her other bandmates, saying she needs to swallow her pride and get back with the girls.

Outspoken Louis, who helped create Girls Aloud in 2002, said Nadine needed to be reunited with Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh if she wanted further success as a singer.

"I think she needs Girls Aloud. I really do. I think she so needs it," he stated.

"The only person who can sort out the problems is Nadine, because the other girls are all over here and she's in LA." The Derry-born crooner moved over to sunny California in 2008 to open an Irish bar, Nadine's Irish Mist, and she has also been working on some solo material in a bid to break America on her own.

She has been dogged by claims that she has grown apart from her Girls Aloud bandmates and is barely in contact with them any more.

This was further fuelled when she did not meet up with Cheryl Cole in LA last February, despite the X Factor judge spending several days there after the distraught star left her cheating husband Ashley Cole.

And Nicola Roberts recently confirmed that the girls had not seen or heard from Nadine since last September when they supported Coldplay.

"If I'm really honest, we haven't spoken to Nadine since we did the Coldplay gig at Wembley in September. I talked to the other girls about it on Monday and no, none of us have heard from her. But there's no feud." she said.

Louis added Nadine needed to swallow her pride and get back to making pop music with her four bandmates and put the past behind her.

"I hope they can work it out. They don't have to like each other, they just have to work together," he said.

"No girlband really gets on well, because they all want to be the skinniest, they all want to be doing lead vocals and they all want to go out with the most famous footballer."

He added how he definitely thought there was "another album there" if they could resolve their differences.
