Nadia's Thai break worries

ASSETS beauty Nadia Forde plans to go ahead with a romantic getaway to Thailand with her DJ boyfriend Mark Noble next month -- despite the violent clashes in Bangkok.

The blonde model (21), is due to spend several weeks travelling the troubled country with her long-term beau and admits that she is concerned for their safety, as the death toll in the Thai capital continues to rise each day.

But Nadia insists that they will not cancel their trip.

Instead, the couple, who have been together for a year and a half, have altered their plans to avoid touching down in Bangkok, where anti-government Red Shirt protesters have been clashing with troops.

The model and the FM104 presenter will now head straight for the sun-kissed island of Phuket, before moving on to explore other areas including Ko Samui and Krabi.

"I've been watching it on TV and it looks awful," she told the Diary. "It is quite worrying when we're due to go there so soon, but we're still going to go ahead with the trip.

"They're just warning people to steer clear of Bangkok at the moment so we're going to go to the Thai islands, which seem to be okay.

"I know lots of people are cancelling their plans though. On top of that we have the worry of the ash cloud."

"I'm just praying it will have passed before we're due to head off," she added.

Ironically, Nadia has just been signed up as the face of a new campaign by bookmaker Paddy Power, which will offer disgruntled passengers the chance to win a holiday by placing bets on the timing of the ash cloud.
