MULTI-millionaire movie star Colin Farrell has admitted that he would be a lot richer today if he had ditched the booze earlier.

The Dublin actor, who has attended rehab to battle alcohol addiction but has been sober for eight years, said his life would have been a lot easier if he had faced up to his problems at a younger age.

REPUTATION

The Castleknock native had a reputation as one of Hollywood's bad boys, was regularly snapped on the nightclub circuit and was linked to a string of famous women, including Britney Spears.

Now based in the US, the dad of two, who is currently back home in Ireland to shoot new film The Lobster, told Irish Tatler Man magazine that he has learned his lesson and is at a happy stage in his life.

"When I got sober, it was time to get sober," he said.
