My health

What was the last thing you ate?

Curried goat, rice and peas.

Do you go to the gym or classes?

Bit of both occasionally.

Do you take vitamins or supplements?

I try to take a multivitamin for a bit of a boost. I like to put oregano oil and apple cider vinegar in my water, too.

What foods always go in your shopping trolley?

Spinach, eggs and blueberries, always.

Have you ever been in hospital?

When I had my wisdom teeth out.

What was your worst illness?

Probably the most recent, when I had strep throat.

What is your favourite cure?

A spicy hot toddy with loads of ginger, chilli, lemons and manuka honey. And brandy of course. Garlic and onions are amazing too. I'm not one to turn down strong pharmaceuticals though!

Would you get your five a day?

Almost always.

What is your favourite meal to cook?

My cooking skills are fairly basic and almost always vegetarian. I like to make spicy vegetable curries when I can be bothered.

Any vices?

Green tea

Ever dieted?

I think more in terms of health and lifestyle choices than diets.

Any family ailments?

We are a strong and healthy breed!

How many hours sleep do you get a night?

Normally around seven to eight.

Do you have any health goals?

I feel fairly accomplished in my health standard.

My mum is a health and lifestyle adviser and has proved very helpful and inspiring throughout my life.

Do you smoke or have you ever smoked?

I did smoke for years. These days I unashamedly enjoy the occasional cigarette with a glass of red wine.

The coconuts would already be there!
