MODEL Pippa O'Connor is looking forward to piling on the pounds during her pregnancy.
The mum-to-be told the Herald that she doesn't plan on counting calories while she's pregnant.
"I'm not going to worry about my diet while I'm pregnant. To be honest, I'm looking forward to eating what I want and not having to keep an eye on everything.
"I'll be indulging a good bit. I'm looking forward to putting on a bit of weight," she said.
Fellow model Sarah McGovern famously worked out throughout her pregnancy, but 28-year-old Pippa says she's planning on taking things a bit easier.
"I'm very sporadic with my workouts. I have never had a strict regime or routine at the gym.
"I'm terrible at sticking to any sort of fitness plan. So I definitely won't be taking anything up. I might do a bit of walking and some yoga. Nothing too strenuous."
Husband Brian Ormond announced that the pair were expecting earlier this week.
The RTE presenter tweeted the news last week, saying: "Finally . . . I can say it . . . Pippa is expecting our first baby. We're super excited."
The couple were instantly inundated with messages of congratulations from Twitter fans and their celebrity friends.
Pippa said that the news had come as a shock to both her and Brian.
"It was a big surprise. Obviously we were delighted but when we got the news at first we were like 'what, really?' It was a surprise but a really nice one."
The glowing blonde will begin modelling maternity wear in the next few weeks.
The TV regular, who has starred on RTE's Celebrity Bainisteoir, TV3's Celebrity Come Dine With Me, and Celebrity Salon, said she has received lots of offers for maternity modelling gigs since the news of her pregnancy broke.
Pippa is due to do her first shoot with Irish boutique Nelo in four weeks time.
The store specialises in elegant wrap jersey dresses for pregnant women.
