More horsepower for Rachel as she reins in TV showjumping role

FORMER Assets model Rachel Wyse will be racing back onto the small screen this month after landing a high-profile gig presenting for Sky Sports.

The blonde beauty (25) looks set to cross paths with her old flame, professional show-jumper Cian O'Connor -- the brother of top model Pippa -- this summer, as she hosts a 10-part series from show-jumping events across the country.

Rachel, who wrapped filming on TV3's motoring show, Xcellerate, alongside Conor Twomey last month, explained how she was delighted to have landed another TV gig so quickly.

"I was thrilled to get the call because we've just finished working on Xcellerate.

"The summer is generally a quieter time for the motoring industry so it's unlikely we'll be doing any more filming until the autumn," she said.

"I'll be working every weekend for the next 10 weeks, filming at different show-jumping events around the country for Sky Sports.

"I've already been to Kildare last weekend and Louth the week before that.

"I'm really enjoying it so far, although it's been very busy as I work every day during the week with City Channel.

"I used to compete nationally and internationally as a showjumper, but I don't get time to do it anymore.

"It's nice to be involved in this way instead."

The leggy beauty insisted that she is still single and said she has no time for romance in her life due to her busy work schedule.

And Rachel was remaining tight-lipped about her best pal and Castleknock model Ruth O'Neill's quest to find love in the States.

The Assets beauty queen quit Irish shores last month for a new life in Hollywood, admitting that she would love to find a hunky American beau.

And while Rachel was expected to travel over to see her in sun-kissed California, the up and coming TV presenter said it's now unlikely that she'll have time to make the trip.

According to the ambitious Blackrock girl: "To be honest I'd say it's unlikely I'll get away at all now that I'm committed to doing the show for the next couple of months.

"I'm not complaining, though, it's great to be busy and I would never turn down work.

"I'm sure Ruth's having a ball over there. It's up to her to discuss her own business though," she added.

Ruth (22), who was previously linked to rugby player Rob Kearney, is hoping to carve out a name for herself as a television presenter in Tinseltown and is said to have already bagged herself an agent.
