RTE broadcaster Miriam O'Callaghan is one woman who won't be beating a path to her nearest cinema to see Sex And The City 2.
Unlike many of her high-profile colleagues, who have been snapped at various premieres and screenings during the past week, the mum-of-eight claims she has no interest in getting caught up in all the hype surrounding the sequel documenting the latest twists and turns in the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.
Despite being a big fan of the original television series, Miriam said the girls have had their day and believes that their second big-screen project together should be their last.
"I used to love watching the TV series but, quite frankly, to go and see the film and spend over two-and-a-half hours sitting in a cinema is not appealing to me," she told the Herald.
"I'm in their target demographic age group but I really think it's too long and from what I've heard they're all just caricatures of themselves in real life.
"I have enjoyed all the debates and discussions about the film but I have no interest in watching it. I'm not intrigued to know what I'm missing at all, it makes no difference to me.
"I don't know if it's appropriate to have so much focus on the expensive clothes and shoes featured in the film, when so many people are struggling to pay the bills at the moment.
"We live in a different world to all the glitz and glamour that's being portrayed," she added.
Miriam went on to explain how her four daughters Alannah (22), Clara (18) and twins Jessica and Georgia (17) have no interest in seeing the film either.
According to the star: "None of them have seen it, they're just not bothered.
"I think they're too young to care. They didn't grow up watching it; it's not their age demographic that it's being aimed at.
"We might watch it when it comes out on DVD or if it's on TV," she added.
The RTE star spent Tuesday night in Athlone, where she hosted an outside broadcast called Austerity Now with a live studio audience and panel of guests present to debate the country's economic woes.
Miriam explained how she was delighted that the show had pulled in more than half a million viewers.
