Failte Towers contestant Michelle Heaton is already plotting her next career move. The Herald can reveal that the Geordie lass is in talks with tv bosses to film a fly-on-the-wall documentary based on her move to Ireland when she leaves Bellingham Castle in the coming weeks.

According to a source, "talks were at an advanced stage before Michelle went into the hotel at the weekend but she doesn't want to say too much about it until it's definitely confirmed".

Michelle believes the show is just what she needs to raise her profile in Ireland and prove to people that she's "just an ordinary, down to earth girl and not a p***head".

Since her arrival on the Emerald isle this year, the former Liberty X babe has been hell-bent on making a name for herself on the small screen and was devastated when RTE axed You're a Star.

The perma-tanned star suffered a further blow last month when her bid to take up residence on the Carrigstown set of Fair City was rejected by the soap's producers.

However, this hasn't stopped the Northern English lass in her bid for a television career and, according to a close friend, "if anything it has made her more determined".

Most recently the pin-up made a one-off appearance on TV3 entertainment show Xposé as a guest presenter saying, "It would be a dream come true to join the Xposé team, it'd be perfect for me".

The singer even offered her services to the TV3 programme when she goes on holiday with her new beau next month, saying, "I'm going away to LA in six weeks with Hugh if you need someone to cover any premieres over there or anything".

Before she takes off, however, the Failte Towers star will be putting the final touches to her upcoming debut solo single.

She maintains she wants to stay faithful to her singing roots and has chosen to tackle a difficult cover of Coldplay's hit single Talk for her pop comeback.

Proceeds from the single will also go towards pal Keith Duffy's charity, Irish Autism Action, who she is representing in the RTE reality programme.

For now though, she is focussing her energies on making her mark on camera saying, "It's all about staying in Failte Towers for as long as possible".

Determined to prove her critics wrong the songstress said: "I'm going to be exactly what everyone expects me not to be on this show.

"I've bought a pair of flannel pyjamas to wear because I'm sure everyone will be expecting me to parade around in a skimpy nightgown," she added.

With the second eviction taking place tonight, all eyes are on Michelle to see if she will last the pace or be booted out of the gruelling, '13-star Failte Tower's hotel.'
