Michele packing her bags for once-in-lifetime trip across US with gal pal

PARTY queen Michele McGrath (26) will be swapping her designer bags for a backpack shortly -- she's leaving Dublin in the New Year.

The well-known Buck's Townhouse hostess and model has decided to head to America on an open ticket in search of new adventures.

But she's not going there alone -- she's bringing her model pal Hayley Ryan as well, as the two beauties fly out of Ireland next January.

They'll head to New York first, before flying down to sunny Miami and then over to the millionaires' playground of Las Vegas and ending up in LA.

"I've never been to America and it's something I've always wanted to do, so I've finally bitten the bullet and work is letting me take the time off. It will be good to have new experiences," she explained.

"We're heading off on January 10 and we don't know how long we're going for: we have open return plane tickets.

"We're looking at coming back in April, but that's not definite yet. We're just going to play it by ear."

She has been working at Buck's since it first opened its doors to Dublin's VIPs in March 2010.

As well as working at the club at nights, she has continued working as a model with Assets. The singer has also taken part in several Christmas pantos, and was also one of the members of pop band Industry, alongside RTE cook Donal Skehan.

However, she has decided it's time to head for fresh pastures.

"It's purely just to see the country. I figured if I don't do it now, then when will I? I've no plans to work over there -- I don't have a work visa for one thing -- but I'm just really excited about it," she continued.

"I will miss all my friends and family, of course; I'm a real home bird. But I've lived away from home before -- I spent a year abroad when I was singing -- so I'm sure I'll have a ball."

She revealed that fellow model Roz Lipsett, who has lived in LA and New York, has been giving her tips on the hot places to visit.

However the single beauty, who has been on the market since splitting from her rugby beau Mark Siddons last December, said looking for a new man wasn't on the cards.

"No way: I have no interest in guys at the moment. I'm on a man break right now, and I can't see that changing, even in America. Then again, you can never say never," she joked.

She explained that she'll be working in the Leeson Street club until she leaves in January.

Before then, she'll be helping to host a charity night on December 6 in aid of the Dogs Trust, which will see celebrities like PJ Gallagher and Lucy Kennedy in attendance.
