Michele nabs stylish TV role

Ambitious beauty Michele McGrath is adding another string to her bow after nabbing a new job on TV.

The Assets model will be fronting a weekly fashion slot on Ireland AM, which will focus on frocks from TV3's new online Fashion Shop.

The leggy brunette told the Diary: "I'm delighted. It's something totally new for me and I feel really lucky because it's a mix of presenting and fashion.

"I would never call myself a stylist because it's not something I've trained to do.

"But I have been around fashion for a long time and I've picked up things from people like Lisa Fitzpatrick and Andrea Roche over the years."

Michele will be on the breakfast show this Thursday with fellow model Lynn Kelly. And, all going well, she admitted she would love to follow in Lisa's footsteps by releasing her own fashion bible in the future.

"Who knows what the future holds, but I'm a big believer in seizing every opportunity," she added.

The former Industry singer has put plans for a solo career on the back burner, unlike her ex-bandmate Morgan Deane, who will be releasing material in January.

"It's something I'd love to do down the line but I'm up to my tonsils right now rehearsing for panto," said Michele.

"Morgan is really talented as a singer and as a songwriter, so I'll be supporting her all the way and I hope she does really well," she added.
