Mary's hoping to follow in Joe's footsteps with new book

RTE'S Joe Duffy hit all the headlines recently for his tell-all autobiography Just Joe -- knocking Cecelia Ahern off the top spot and even being nominated for the Bord Gais Irish Book Awards.

But now it's the turn of his RTE colleague Mary Kennedy to unveil her latest book, Lines For Living.

The Nationwide presenter has revealed all about her attitudes towards motherhood, empty nest syndrome, getting older and making the most of what you have. She'll be meeting her fans at Dubray books in Bray this Saturday as she takes part in a signing.

She has described her new book as a "journey through life, love, family and friendship".

The presenter explains how she felt most fulfilled as a woman "during the years I was having my babies" and dedicates her third book to her four children -- Eva, Tom, Eoin and Lucy. She also remembers the child she never had -- a miscarriage after the birth of her second child Tom that left her devastated. The tome is a follow on to her previous book, the best-selling Lines I Love and is also punctuated with meaningful quotes by everyone from Cicero to Johnny Depp.
